VS Factory Omega Seamaster 600M 215.92.44.21.99.001 Titanium — Hands-On Review

Alright so this one's been a long time coming. The Omega Seamaster 600M in titanium — specifically the 215.92.44.21.99.001 — has been on a lot of people's wishlists but no factory ever actually pulled it off. Until now. VS Factory finally dropped their version and honestly, it was worth the wait.

Not gonna waste time talking about other factories on this one. If it says VS, you already know the deal. Let's just get into it.

Size & Weight — The Titanium Difference

First things first.

SpecMeasured
Case Diameter43.5mm
Thickness15.5mm
Weight~118g

Diameter and thickness are spot on — dead accurate to gen. But the real story here is the weight. 118 grams. Pick up a regular stainless steel Seamaster rep and you're looking at around 140g, so this is noticeably lighter on the wrist. It doesn't sound like much on paper but trust me, you feel it. Especially if you're wearing it all day. The comfort level goes way up.

Case & Bezel

The titanium finish is immediately different from steel. It's darker, more muted. The brushing on the case sides doesn't catch light the same way — it has that subtle, almost matte quality that real titanium should have. A lot of reps get this wrong and make it too shiny. VS nailed it here.

The ceramic bezel rotates smooth. No stuttering, no mush between clicks. Each position locks in clean and there's zero vertical play when you press down on it. The orange numerals on the bezel insert are done in actual rubber, not paint. You can feel the difference with your fingernail — painted markers have a completely different texture. And the lume pip at 12 sits recessed into the bezel, which matches gen. Small detail but it matters.

Dial & Hands

Matte grey dial. Looks flat head-on but tilt it under light and you catch that fine sandblasted grain — very satisfying in person. The orange "6", "9", and "12" hour markers pop hard against the grey. Printing on the dial text is sharp with good depth, not that flat screen-printed look you see on cheaper builds.

Hands are titanium too. Zoomed all the way in and the edges are clean. No rough spots, no burrs. Nothing to complain about there.

Crown Operation — The Fun Part

Dual crown setup on this one, same as gen.

The left crown is the helium escape valve. Decorative only — doesn't actually function, but it's shaped and positioned correctly. That's all that matters for the look.

Right crown handles everything else. Unscrew counterclockwise, then wind it up — about 30 turns to full power reserve. Pull to the first position and you get quickset date. Here's the thing though: the date advancement actually engages through the movement properly. Cheaper reps just snap the date disc directly, but on the VS the hour hand drives the date change the way it should. Pull to second position for time setting, runs smooth.

One note when you screw the crown back down — push in and twist simultaneously. Don't overtighten it. Titanium threads are softer than steel and you really don't want to strip them.

Strap

Rubber strap, and it's proper quality. Soft, pliable, not that stiff plastic-y feeling some factories ship. The orange edge stitching is vibrant and the grey center section has a nice grain to it. Whole watch just screams sporty diver when it's on the wrist. Fits the Seamaster vibe perfectly.

VS 8900 Movement

So this is running the VS in-house 8900 integrated movement. The balance wheel at 6 o'clock has the proper blackened finish and the jewel colors are accurate. Decoration and finishing on the movement plates — no issues at all.

VS literally built their reputation on movements. That's where they started. Reliability is kind of their whole thing, and the 8900 has been proven across thousands of units at this point.

Now if I'm being real, there is one flaw. The balance wheel area has an extra post that shouldn't be there. It's visible through the caseback. Not a dealbreaker by any means but worth mentioning if you're the type who stares at the movement — and let's be honest, most of us are.

Final Thoughts

This VS Factory Omega Seamaster 600M 215.92.44.21.99.001 in titanium is honestly one of the more impressive builds I've handled recently. The weight alone sets it apart from every steel Seamaster rep out there. Dial finishing is on point, the bezel feel is excellent, and the 8900 movement keeps solid time.

The extra post on the balance wheel is basically the only callout. Everything else checks out.

If you've been waiting for a proper titanium Seamaster 600M rep, this is it. Nobody else is making this right now and VS did it justice.
