VS Factory Omega De Ville 431.10.41.21.03.001 Blue Dial — Hands-On Review

New drop from VS Factory. This time it's the Omega De Ville 431.10.41.21.03.001 in blue. We covered the white dial version a while back, and I've been waiting on this one. Blue is finally here, and knowing VS, a black dial is probably next.

That's how they operate though. Never all three colorways at once. One color, wait a bit, then another. Keeps the hype going, keeps people buying. Their game, their rules.

Reviewing any VS product is pretty straightforward honestly. You talk about the highlights, you look at the movement, and you wrap it up. So let's get into it.

Specs and First Impressions

Starting with the bracelet version. 41mm case, roughly 13.6mm thick. Powered by VS's in-house clone 8500 movement. Sapphire crystal up front.

The blue dial. Gotta say, they nailed it on this one.

Every single index and hand on this thing is polished. Full polish. The upside? The whole watch just pops. Indices catch light like crazy, hands are super reflective — it looks alive on the wrist. The downside is that polished surfaces are unforgiving. Any tiny speck of dust, any micro-burr on a hand, you're gonna see it immediately. If the assembly environment isn't perfectly clean, dust sticks and it takes effort to deal with. Double-edged sword for sure.

Overall dial finishing though, no complaints. The blue tone is well done.

Functionality

Pull the crown out and you get quick-set hour hand with independent date adjustment. Not exactly a surprise anymore on VS De Villes at this point, but still worth mentioning. Date and time both cycle smoothly, no issues there.

The case is a three-piece construction — bezel, mid-case, and caseback. So you're looking at daily water resistance only. Same as gen by the way. Don't take it swimming. Even with enhanced waterproofing, just don't.

Bracelet and Clasp

The steel bracelet uses that classic De Ville three-link design. Resizing is a bit of a pain compared to some other reps. I'd recommend taking it to a watch shop if you need links removed.

Omega branding on the clasp, font clarity, engravings inside — all solid. No red flags.

There's also a croc strap option. You can order steel bracelet only, croc strap only, or both — just pay the difference. Strap quality is decent. A little stiff out of the box but it breaks in nicely after some wear. Leather will develop a slight sheen over time regardless of whether you condition it or not. That's just how it goes. Clasp on the strap version has the Omega logo too, good depth and dimension to it.

Caseback and Movement

Flip it over. You'll find the serial engraving on the lugs area and the Omega globe logo on the caseback — standard De Ville details, all present and accounted for.

Now here's the real selling point. The VS 8500 clone movement. Rotor sits at 6 o'clock, black rotor, Incabloc-style shock absorber. Structure-wise, looking through the display back, it's virtually identical to gen. You really can't tell the difference with the naked eye.

Where the gap shows up is in the finishing. The movement decoration doesn't quite match retail — but come on, at this price point, that's expected. Cost is cost. What you're getting for the money is genuinely impressive.

Final Thoughts

The VS Factory De Ville 431.10.41.21.03.001 blue dial. Front to back, the accuracy is there. Movement deco is close enough that most people won't notice. This is exactly why pretty much every dealer recommends VS products across the board.

Where does a rep fall short compared to gen? Two things mainly. The movement finishing when you look through the caseback — that's where trained eyes will spot differences. And the overall perceived quality from the dial side, that intangible "feel" of a genuine piece. But honestly for a rep at this tier, the VS De Ville blue is an easy recommend. Solid piece all around.
