You can't beat VSF for the bezel, movement, dial quality and crystal cyclops in my opinion. The watch feels like a really beautifully made piece. I'm a big fan of their rosegold models - the rosegold on VSF is one of the nicer ones I've handled. I'm fussy about colour of metals and all other factories I've not enjoyed, but this one looks right.
36mm is a great option for those with a smaller wrist - the 41mm can be far too much. Looks great with a shirt cuff too. The font printing on the dial is indistinguishable from the original, fonts are neat and full for easy reading. The hands have been restored by fine grinding and polishing, edges don't have rough burrs, and they're in sync with the solid center axis design like the authentic.
The dial is clear with reflected light rays, font is sharp, and the lume is super bright. 904L steel feels lighter than watches from other makers. The 3235 movement is considered one of the most stable clone movements available for Datejust models and that's a big advantage over the ones running a 2824.
Did a side by side comparison with the retail version. VSF is pretty close to a 1:1 copy, even on pictures you hardly see differences and when you do see them you don't know which is which. If you wear one and I wear the other, you couldn't inspect them in detail without taking the watch off. The bracelet is maybe 1% more flexible than the real one but has the same characteristics and bends exactly the same. Even the clasp opens the same way and feels the same. Only giveaway I noticed is the serial number isn't perfectly centred and the rehaut needs a polish - it looks a bit rough without one.
I've been looking into two-tone Datejusts in rose gold since I'm not a fan of yellow gold. Some reviews mention that the gold plating on these can look a bit "off" which had me hesitant. The gold plating color isn't exactly like the authentic, and if you wear it as a daily driver the plating will wear down and tarnish over time. There's more maintenance involved with the gold upkeep. I ended up falling in love with the 36mm rose gold DJ but didn't want to pay 500-600 bucks just to have a major flaw with the plating. Something to keep in mind if you're considering two-tone.
