VS Factory Omega Seamaster 300 210.90.42.20.01.003 – Full Review

That Bronze Gold Though

Alright so this one's been on my radar for a while. The VS Factory Omega Seamaster 300 ref. 210.90.42.20.01.003 — bronze gold case, red ceramic bezel, and honestly? It hits different from anything else in the Seamaster lineup right now. Let me walk you through it.

The Bronze Gold — What Actually Is It?

First things first. This is NOT your typical 18K rose gold. Omega went and developed something called Bronze Gold for this piece. Quick breakdown: standard 18K gold sits at 75% gold content (AU750). This one's 9K. Roughly half the gold, way more copper in the alloy.

What does that mean visually? It runs warmer and redder than rose gold. Less pink, more... burnished. Almost vintage-looking straight out of the box.

Here's the thing that matters — Swatch Group engineered this alloy specifically for the Seamaster 300 line. They actually used a similar material back in 2022 but it never really caught on the way this release has. And unlike those bronze watches that patina and oxidize over time, this 9K bronze gold won't. Completely different chemistry. That's on the gen side, and VS has matched the color tone really well here.

Red Ceramic Bezel + Bronze Gold = Yes

OK let's talk about what everyone notices first. The 9K bronze gold case paired with that red ceramic bezel insert — it's a combination that just works. When the promo shots first dropped I thought they might have overdone the color grading. Nope. Looks exactly like that in hand.

You might've seen the Bond actor wearing this exact ref at a film festival recently. Suited up, red and gold on the wrist. Looked absolutely right for that setting.

Now compare this to the older titanium colorway. Night and day. The titanium version always felt a bit flat to me. This bronze gold variant has real presence. There's also a dark green ceramic bezel version that dropped at the same time — worth a look too if red isn't your thing.

Case dimensions, thickness, lug-to-lug — all spot on versus gen. The sapphire crystal has that subtle dome effect Omega uses on the 300 line and VS has replicated it accurately. No complaints there.

Movement: Decorated Miyota 9015

Under the hood it's a clone movement built on the Citizen Miyota 9015 base. VS added decorated bridges to simulate the gen caliber's appearance through the caseback. The execution is decent — not the most 1:1 clone out there but it doesn't scream fake either. Reliability-wise the 9015 platform is well proven at this point. Daily beater territory, no issues.

Two Strap Options — And a Heads Up on the Mesh

This VS Factory Seamaster 300 210.90.42.20.01.003 ships with two strap choices.

9K gold Milanese mesh bracelet. Looks incredible. The vintage vibe is strong with this one and the way it sits on the wrist is genuinely impressive for a rep. Contours nicely. BUT — and I want to be upfront about this — the mesh weave can pinch arm hair when you first put it on. Not a dealbreaker by any means, you get used to it fast. Just something to know going in.

Black rubber strap. If comfort is the priority, go rubber. Simple as that. It's a clean look and zero fuss on the wrist.

Good news: both straps come included. Swap depending on your mood or what you're wearing. No need to buy separately.

The Weight Question

If I had to nitpick — and people always ask — there's a slight weight difference compared to gen. The 9K gold is naturally lighter than 18K so the watch won't feel quite as hefty on wrist. Still has some substance to it though. You'll feel it's there. For most people this honestly won't register as an issue unless you're doing a side-by-side with a genuine piece in hand.

Beyond weight, everything else checks out. Color accuracy on the bronze gold, the ceramic bezel quality, overall proportions and finishing. This is a solid release from VS.

Bottom Line

The VS Factory Omega Seamaster 300 210.90.42.20.01.003 in bronze gold is easily one of the more interesting drops this year. The red ceramic and bronze gold combo gives it a personality that most Seamaster reps just don't have. Movement works, build quality is there, dual straps included. Whether you're dressing it up or wearing it casual — this one delivers.

If you've been waiting for a Seamaster 300 that actually stands out, this is the ref to grab.
