VS Factory Omega Seamaster 210.30.42.20.03.003 – V4 Edition Full Breakdown

What's up guys, vsfwatcheshub here. Today we're looking at a piece that's been on a LOT of people's radar — the VS Factory Omega Seamaster 210.30.42.20.03.003, aka the "Poseidon" 75th Anniversary edition. This is the V4 build, which is the latest and most refined version VS has put out so far. I'm gonna walk you through the dial, the bezel, the crown functions, the movement — all of it.

Let's get into it.

The Look

So right off the bat, this VS Omega Seamaster 210.30.42.20.03.003 comes with a solid caseback. The seahorse medallion engraving on the back is honestly impressive — sharp lines, good depth, the whole thing feels deliberate. Not mushy or flat like some older batches.

It ships with a blue rubber strap paired with the blue dial, and the color matching is spot on. Looks cohesive. On wrist? Absolute strap monster. I'd even say it edges out the standard blue Seamaster in terms of overall vibe.

Dial — Where It Gets Interesting

The dial on this VS Omega Seamaster 210.30.42.20.03.003 is doing a lot of heavy lifting. You've got that fumé / smoky gradient going from center to edge, darker as it reaches the chapter ring. Gives it real depth, not just a flat blue slab.

V4 brought some changes to the hands too — the center pinion uses a magnetic assembly now. The hour markers have this Tiffany-ish blue lume fill that plays nicely against the deeper blue of the outer ring. Hard to capture in photos but trust me, in person it pops.

Date window sits at 6 o'clock with a noticeable stepped frame around it. Clean execution there.

Bezel and Lume

Blue ceramic bezel insert. The pip at 12 is recessed — not just glued on top — with a polished surface finish. Feels like they actually thought about it this time around.

Unidirectional rotation, 120 clicks. The action is firm, no slop, nice and dampened. Exactly how it should feel.

Lume? After a good charge you get a yellow-green glow across the hands and indices. Consistent with how gen pieces look under UV. No complaints.

Crown & HEV — Functional Bits

Left side of the case — that's your helium escape valve. On gen, it's there for actual saturation diving. VS replicated the red rubber ring detail around the crown, nice touch. Quick heads-up though: this is a rep. Don't go diving with it. The water resistance is nowhere near rated for that kind of pressure. Daily splash-proof, sure. Actual submersion, no.

Right side is your main crown. Screw-down lock. Unscrew it, push down to wind. First pull adjusts the date, second pull sets the time. Direction matches gen. Push back in and lock it down when you're done — that's your water seal right there.

Pretty straightforward stuff but worth mentioning for anyone new to this ref.

The Movement — This Is the Big One

OK so the real headline with V4 is the movement swap. VS dropped in their integrated clone 8800 caliber, and honestly it's the best movement option available for this reference right now. Period.

Co-axial style bridge layout. Bi-directional winding rotor — you can actually see the gear train on both sides engaging when the rotor spins or when you hand-wind it. Jewels are functional, not decorative. The whole thing just runs cleaner and more reliably than what they had in V3.

If you've been on the fence waiting for VS to sort out the movement situation on this one, V4 is the answer.

Strap & Clasp

The blue rubber strap has a brushed texture that's actually pretty refined. Not that cheap glossy rubber feel you get on budget reps. Comfortable enough for all-day wear.

Clasp has a micro-adjust extension built in — press the button, slide it out or back in. Small feature but makes a big difference when you're dialing in the fit on your wrist. Appreciated.

Final Thoughts

The VS Factory Omega Seamaster 210.30.42.20.03.003 V4 is a legit step up from where this rep was a year ago. The fumé dial looks the part, the ceramic bezel action is dialed in, and the integrated 8800 clone movement finally brings reliability to match the aesthetics. As a 75th anniversary Poseidon build it's hard to beat at this tier.

That's it for this one. I'm vsfwatcheshub — more in-depth rep breakdowns coming soon, stay tuned.
