VS Factory Omega Seamaster 600M 215.32.44.21.06.001 — Hands-On Review

VS just dropped new colorways for the Seamaster 600M and yeah, they nailed it again. Three versions, all 43.5mm cases. You've got a khaki dial with a brown ceramic bezel, a black-grey one, and then this green ceramic bezel with a brushed metallic dial on a green strap. The Seamaster 600M has been a classic for a while now so it's nice to finally see some fresh color options hitting the market.

The 8900 Movement — And How to Tell If It's Real VS

Let me get straight to the important stuff. When it comes to Omega and Panerai, VS Factory basically has no competition. The reason is simple — exclusive in-house clone movements. All three of these Seamaster 600M pieces run the VS exclusive Cal.8900.

So how do you QC whether you've actually got a legit VS product? Easy. Pull the crown out. Push it down and unscrew, then push up — that's winding. Pull to the first position and you'll see the hour hand jump to advance the date. Minute hand stays put. You can also run the date backwards. That's how the gen works.

Other factories? Their Omegas usually let you rapid-scroll the date when you pull to first position. The date just keeps flipping. VS does it through the hour hand driving the date change, same as retail. Once you know this tell, you'll never mix them up.

Up Close — Build Quality and Details

Khaki Dial

The dial has this matte sandblasted finish. Clean. Really clean. Applied indices and lume fill are even across the board, and the hands have that brushed metal texture. Got right up on it with macro and honestly there's not much to complain about.

The ceramic bezel isn't smooth — it has a subtle texture to it, matching gen. You can see it when the light catches at certain angles. Scratch-proof obviously, and the markings are crisp. Lume pip at 12 is nicely rounded. The logo plus markers at 6, 9 and 12 are all raised. Printing on the dial is solid too.

Bezel action is unidirectional with really satisfying clicks. Feels pretty much identical to gen in hand. Case brushing is on point — this is the kind of finishing that makes VS hard to beat. The rubber strap has its own texture pattern, and the curved design sits flush on the wrist. 43.5mm sounds big on paper but honestly if you're 15cm wrist or above it wears great. Very comfortable. Even smaller wrists can pull it off because of how well it hugs. Deployant clasp is gen-style, opens and closes smooth.

Caseback

Here's a neat detail. The caseback uses a patent-style design — not the typical screw-all-the-way type. You rotate it about 15° counterclockwise and it comes off. Same thing going back on, 15° to lock. Because of this, every letter on the caseback stays upright and the Seamaster logo sits perfectly centered. The engravings might be a tiny bit shallower than gen if you're really looking hard. But no obvious tells.

Black-Grey Dial

Same clean matte finish. Brushed ceramic bezel feels great, nice and true. The strap color is interesting though — under strong light it looks almost black, but the gen on Omega's website appears slightly grey. Not 100% sure on this one. If anyone has the gen in hand, drop a comment and let us know. Date function works the same way, hour hand driving the date. Light action, smooth feel.

Green Dial

This one's a head-turner. Seriously. The brushed metallic dial texture is done really well on this colorway. Ceramic bezel is a deep green that pops more as the light gets stronger. Green strap matches beautifully. The finishing on this particular piece is pretty much flawless.

Movement Reliability

The 8900 is rock solid. Way more stable than VS's Panerai clone movements. A lot of rep fam bought the Seamaster quarter orange and the Seamaster 150M with VS clone movements three to five years ago — barely any have come back for servicing. That kind of track record speaks for itself.

Bottom Line

If the VS Factory Omega Seamaster 600M 215.32.44.21.06.001 has been on your radar, just go for it. Movement is proven, the build quality is there, it's a 2025 release, and it's perfect for the season. Any questions feel free to reach out — vsfwatcheshub.
