VS Factory Omega Seamaster 300 Two-Tone Blue 210.20.42.20.03.001 — Hands-On Breakdown

Alright so this one's been on my desk for a few days now and I keep picking it up. The VS Factory Omega Seamaster 300 two-tone blue, ref 210.20.42.20.03.001. If you're into dive watches at all you already know — outside of the Sub, the Seamaster 300 is basically the other go-to. And this two-tone version hits different.

Why the Two-Tone Though?

Here's the thing. Most guys go straight for the full steel models, black or blue dial, done. Nothing wrong with that. But the two-tone (间金) variants don't get enough love in the rep community honestly. You get that gold accent without going full PM, and it stands out way more on the wrist. Less chance of running into someone wearing the same config too.

Color options are pretty wide on these — two-tone gold with silver, blue, or black dial. There's also a rose gold version in blue and black. The blue dial on gold is what we're looking at today and yeah, the photos don't even do it justice.

On the Wrist

42mm case. Tried it on a 17cm wrist, fits perfectly. A bit bigger, a bit smaller — doesn't matter much, the lug-to-lug is manageable. I've even seen women rocking these online so it's pretty versatile that way.

One thing I want to mention vs the IWC Aquatimer which kinda sits in the same lane — the Seamaster 300 wears noticeably thinner. Comfort-wise it's not even close. The Aquatimer is chunky. This just hugs the wrist.

Bracelet vs Rubber — Pick Your Fighter

The steel bracelet is a tank. Full solid links, serious weight to it. Feels expensive the moment you hold it. Protective film still on the links when it arrives. And because this is a two-tone piece you get the precious metal stamps — the hallmark and 750 mark on the clasp. That's a detail only the two-tone and full gold refs carry.

But real talk the bracelet is heavy. Like noticeably heavy.

So it ships with a blue rubber strap too. Super soft, way lighter, works great in summer or honestly any season. If daily comfort matters to you, the rubber is the move. You get both in the box anyway so just swap depending on your mood.

Movement — the 8800

Flip it over. VS's clone 8800 is in there, running smooth. The rotor spins freely, really responsive. You can see the black dual T-bridge balance wheel through the caseback, fine adjustment via a small regulator screw. Serial numbers on the movement match the caseback engravings and the warranty card info. Everything lines up.

Bezel and Lume

Unidirectional rotating bezel. Clicks feel tight and precise, same mechanism as the Sub essentially. The lume is where this watch gets fun — dual-color SuperLuminova. Hour hand glows green, everything else comes up in an icy blue. Looks stunning in low light. Genuinely one of the better lume applications I've seen on a rep.

Crowns, HEV, and Water Resistance

Two crowns on the right side of the case. Top one is your standard time-setting crown — screw-down design for water resistance. Unscrew it, pull to first position for date, second position for time. Push back in and screw it down when you're done.

Bottom crown is the helium escape valve. Fully functional, actually opens. What's it for? Deep saturation diving — when you come up from extreme depth the pressure differential inside the case needs somewhere to go. In practice nobody's taking a rep to 100m+ but the valve works and that's what matters for accuracy to gen.

Three corners of the caseback carry engravings: the Omega logo, the serial number, and "Seamaster" in English.

Rated depth is 300m. Nobody's actually tested that but swimming, pool days, beach trips — zero issues. Good for 100-200m realistically without breaking a sweat.

Final Take

The VS Factory Seamaster 300 two-tone blue 210.20.42.20.03.001 is one of those pieces that just works. Build quality is there. The finishing is there. Wrist presence without being obnoxious. If you want something that's not the usual full-steel Seamaster everyone and their cousin is wearing, the two-tone in blue or black is worth a serious look. Rose gold option exists too if that's more your speed.
