So Omega's been the official timekeeper for the Olympics twenty-seven times now. That's kind of insane when you think about it. To mark the occasion they dropped a limited Aqua Terra 150M in several colorways — three dial colors plus a white dial variant. VS Factory picked up the blue and black versions. No white dial yet, and honestly who knows if that's coming.

I'm gonna focus mostly on the blue here because it just looks better in hand. More vibrant, younger vibe. The black is solid too though, I'll touch on that toward the end.

The Specs

Case, bracelet, movement — all basically the same platform as the standard VS Aqua Terra 150M. Proven molds, proven quality. Nothing experimental here which is actually a good thing.

Dial

The blue dial has that signature Omega wave pattern and it catches light with a sunburst effect that photographs really well. Gold-tone hands and hour markers throughout, matching the gen colorway exactly.

One thing to note. Gen uses 18K gold for the hands and indices. Rep obviously doesn't. That's just the reality of the price gap between a $7K+ watch and what you're paying here. But visually? On wrist, nobody's telling the difference. The color match is spot on.

Case and Bracelet

Brushed finishing on the case sides — clean, consistent grain. The bracelet does that typical AT thing with polished center links flanked by brushed outer links. Looks great but yeah, that polished section will pick up desk-diving scratches pretty quick. Same as gen honestly.

The clasp is a double-push butterfly deployment. Omega logo on the outside is engraved deep, not shallow and lazy like some reps I've seen from other factories. Inside of the clasp, the finishing and small details are handled well. No complaints there.

Crown Operation

Screw-down crown. Unscrew it and you get:

• Default position — manual winding
• First pull — date quickset, takes about two full turns per day jump, and yes it goes backwards too which is nice
• Second pull — time setting

Works exactly like gen. Smooth, no weird resistance. Just remember to screw it back down after adjusting.

The VS 8500 Movement

Flip it over. This is where VS Factory really earns its reputation.

Balance wheel sits at 6 o'clock — correct position. The shock absorber uses that Incabloc-style shape that matches gen. Black balance wheel, also correct. And if you look closely you can spot the four adjustment weights on the balance. Now look — on a rep these are decorative. The actual timekeeping regulation is still done via the regulator pins. But the fact that VS bothers to include them at all says something about their attention to detail.

Overall movement decoration is solid. Plate finishing, color accuracy, the rotor — all looking right. Caseback engravings are clean with no obvious tells.

Here's something worth mentioning though. The gen Cal.8500 uses silicon components extensively, which gives it that crazy 15,000 gauss anti-magnetic rating. That's a huge part of what makes the genuine Omega movement special. The VS clone doesn't replicate that level of magnetic resistance. Just being upfront about it — wouldn't be fair to pretend otherwise.

Black Dial Version

The 231.10.42.21.01.006 in black. Same wave pattern, same sunburst finishing, same gold hands and indices. Everything else is identical to the blue. It's really just a matter of personal taste here.

Black reads more conservative, more versatile with different outfits if that matters to you. The blue is the head-turner.

Final Thoughts

Both of these VS Factory Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 150M Olympic editions deliver exactly what you'd expect from VS at this point. The build quality, the fine details, the overall accuracy to gen — it's all there. Consistent, reliable, no surprises.

If you're into the Seamaster line but the regular Aqua Terra feels too common — and let's be real, you see them everywhere now — these Olympic commemorative refs are a nice way to stand out. Different enough to be interesting, not so flashy that it draws the wrong attention.

One honest take from me: the gold-tone hands and markers do skew a bit dressy. Might read slightly mature depending on your style. But as a complete package? These are genuinely two of the more interesting pieces in VS Factory's current Seamaster lineup. Worth serious consideration if you're shopping in this category.
