VS Factory Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 220.30.43.22.10.001 World Timer — Green Dial Review

So VS Factory dropped the green version of the Aqua Terra World Timer and yeah, it's as good as you'd hope.

If you've been following the rep scene at all, you already know the blue dial version was basically impossible to keep in stock. Every batch sold out almost immediately. The demand was insane. Now they've done the same watch with a green ceramic bezel and green dial, and honestly the hype is justified.

Three Hands, But Way More Going On Than You'd Think

Here's what makes this ref special. It's a world timer — shows you multiple time zones at once — but it does it with only three hands. No extra GMT hand sticking out.

Most world time or GMT watches add a fourth hand to track a second timezone. Omega went a completely different route here. They built the world time complication into the dial itself: a city ring around the edge paired with a 24-hour inner track. You read your second timezone right off the dial without any additional hand cluttering things up. Pretty clever honestly. And there's a date window on top of all that.

The cities are laid out by timezone — Beijing, Tokyo, Bangkok going east, London sitting at 6 o'clock since it's on the prime meridian, then New York and other western cities continuing around. Functional and looks great at the same time.

Real Color vs. Promo Shots

Quick heads up on something. When you see this watch in person, the green won't pop the way it does in official promo images. That's not a flaw — gen pieces look the same way in hand. Omega's marketing photos are shot with professional lighting and color grading cranked up. The actual green is more muted, more refined. Wears better on the wrist than the neon vibe you might expect from photos.

Just setting expectations so nobody freaks out when they unbox it.

That Weird Mark Near "Seamaster" — It's Supposed to Be There

OK this one I have to address because I almost called it out as a defect myself.

Right above the Seamaster text on the dial there's a tiny shape that looks like an island or landmass. First time I saw it I thought something went wrong during printing. Checked ten pieces from the same batch. All identical. Then I pulled up gen reference photos and sure enough — it's there on the authentic too. It's part of the globe motif on the dial, representing an actual geographical feature.

So if you get yours and notice this little shape, don't panic. Not a tell. Not a flaw. It's correct.

Build Quality and Finishing

Case is stainless steel with brushed finishing on the top surfaces and polished sides. The transition between the two is clean — no sloppy edges where brush meets polish.

Green ceramic bezel insert. Feels proper.

The dial pairs that green with gold-toned indices and hands. Not yellow gold, more of a warm champagne gold. The color combo gives it a lot of wrist presence without being loud. The globe pattern in the center carries the green theme through, keeps the whole design cohesive.

Bracelet is solid stainless steel, typical VS quality. Clasp action is smooth. Overall finishing is what you'd expect from VS at this point — tight, consistent, no obvious shortcuts.

Movement: Cal. 8938

Under the hood you're getting the Cal. 8938 — part of Omega's 8900 series co-axial family. The 8500, 8900, 8906, 8938... these are all essentially the same base movement. The different reference numbers just correspond to specific watch configurations. Same architecture, same reliability.

This movement has been around for five-plus years now and it's proven. Rock solid performance. No issues.

Crown operation is straightforward:

  1. Unscrew the crown (it's screw-down for water resistance)
  2. Push in and rotate to wind
  3. Pull to first position — adjust date by rotating the hour hand, works both directions
  4. Pull to second position — set time
  5. Push back in and screw down tight

Water resistance is rated for swimming. Not a desk diver.

Final Take

The VS Factory Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 220.30.43.22.10.001 in green is a winner. World time complication done elegantly in a three-hand layout, great color execution, and VS Factory's proven build quality backing it up. Green and gold together just works on this one.
