What's up guys, vsfwatcheshub here. Got my hands on the VS Factory rep of the Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 150M, ref 231.10.42.21.02.004 in full stainless steel. Been wanting to break this one down for a while so let's get into it.

Case and Bezel Work

First thing you notice picking this up — the case shape. VS nailed the profile on the 231.10.42.21.02.004. The case sides aren't just flat slabs, there's a tapered slope running from the bezel edge down to the caseback. It's a subtle transition but that's exactly what makes the gen look expensive, and VS replicated it here.

Brushed and polished surfaces alternate across the case. Bezel ring is full polish with a clean mirror finish. The transitions between brushed and polished sections? Pretty seamless honestly. No obvious machining marks where the two finishes meet.

The Dial

OK so the dial. This is where the Aqua Terra really has its own identity. Those vertical teak lines running across the face — VS got them crisp. Each stripe is well defined, no bleeding between the grooves. Run your eye across the dial under light and the lines catch reflections evenly. That's a good sign.

Color breakdown: blue numerals on the outer minute track, red accent on the seconds hand, yellow-ish lume plots on the hour markers. Gives the whole dial a sporty but not overdone vibe. Crown logo on top is raised, not printed flat — you can feel it with your fingernail.

Bracelet

Middle links are polished, outer links brushed. Standard Omega bracelet layout and VS followed it properly. Looks and feels substantial on the wrist — doesn't have that hollow cheap rattle some lower tier reps give you.

Clasp is a fold-over butterfly style with a push-button release. There's also a secondary locking mechanism in the center fold. Easy enough to operate one-handed once you get used to it, and it contributes to the overall water resistance of the watch. Nothing fancy but it works the way it should.

Movement — Clone 8500

Flip it over. Display caseback shows the VS clone 8500 movement and there's a decent amount to look at through the crystal. The 3D rotor is visible immediately — shape and weight distribution look correct against gen references. Plate screws, jewel placements, the balance wheel with the regulator pins — all sitting where they should be.

Printing on the movement plates is sharp. No smudging or misalignment on the text engravings.

Functionally it operates like the genuine piece. Pull the crown to first position and rotate — the date wheel clicks forward. Standard quick-set date, nothing weird about the action. Crown operation at second position for time setting is smooth with no grinding or resistance. VS kept the same operational sequence as the original 8500 caliber which matters more than people think.

Final Thoughts

Look this isn't a perfect 1:1 — no rep is. But VS Factory put in the work on the Seamaster Aqua Terra 231.10.42.21.02.004. The case finishing with that slope detail, teak dial texture, and a clone 8500 that actually functions correctly. It checks a lot of boxes.
