If you're into Panerai reps, you already know the deal. VS Factory owns this space. Nobody else even comes close on PAM models. So today I'm going over the VS Factory Panerai Luminor PAM01115 — gold case, grey dial, blue hands. One of the cleanest configs Panerai ever put out, and VS nailed it.

The Dial

Grey sunburst dial. The radial brushing on this thing catches light differently depending on the angle, and it photographs way better in person than in wrist shots online. Blue hands sit on top of that grey face and the contrast just works.

Hour markers are recessed into the dial — not printed, not applied on top — actually cut in, then filled with lume compound. The green lume on this batch is strong. Like, actually usable in the dark strong. 3 o'clock date window is crisp, font alignment is correct, and the sapphire crystal over everything has solid clarity. No milky edges, no weird distortion.

How It Wears

Two-and-a-half hand layout. That's the classic Panerai look — hours, minutes, small seconds. Nothing extra. Pull the crown guard out, first position gives you a quick-set date that snaps over cleanly. No dragging, no half-jumps. Water resistance is rated for swimming. I wouldn't take it diving but pool and daily wear, totally fine.

Case and Hardware

Here's where VS really separates from other factories. The case is 316L steel base with PVD vacuum-plated gold. Not spray paint, not cheap coating — actual PVD process. The buckle matches, same gold PVD treatment on a pin buckle.

Crown guard lettering is sharp. Brushing on the case sides is even and consistent. The edges have proper definition to them — a lot of PAM reps from other factories round off those corners and it kills the whole look. VS keeps them crisp. Strap is Italian calfskin, feels decent out of the box. Caseback carries the precious metal engravings matching gen spec.

Movement

P.9010 clone movement, built in-house by VS. This is the reason their PAMs are a cut above. The movement is cloned from a gen P.9010, same architecture, same function set. And because they tooled the movement from a genuine unit, the case dimensions had to follow. That's why the case shape, the crown guard fit, the dial seating — all of it lines up properly. You can't get that kind of shell accuracy if you're just stuffing a generic movement inside a loosely shaped case.

Fully automatic. No manual winding workaround, no modified base caliber pretending to be something it's not. Actual functional clone of the original.
