The DD4131 movement in here is solid. Timekeeping after 24 hours in a watch box came in at +6 sec, which is totally acceptable. Rotor noise is typical when you shake your wrist but not bothersome at all in everyday wear.
The weighted case is the whole point of getting this one over other factories. Picked mine up and it's sitting at around 136g — Clean's version felt noticeably hollow by comparison when I held them side by side. On wrist the heft is real, it doesn't slide around and just feels balanced. That dense wrist feel is exactly what I was after.
Dial is good but not the best out there. The VSF just seemed flatter compared to what I was expecting — more metallic sunburst would've been nice. The BTF dial had a bit more texture and a more luxury-looking striation pattern. VSF was great looking, but the BTF seemed an order of magnitude more premium in that department. Give VSF the edge on consistent index application though.
