Many customers often ask: what’s the difference between replica watches at different price levels?

Today one of my agents asked me to help him source this Rolex Day-Date 40 in rose gold. To be honest, I’ve never handled this model before, but he specifically told me to get this one for him. And then something interesting happened.

When I received the watch and was about to do QC inspection, I immediately noticed that both the feel and the overall look were quite different from the Day-Date models I usually ship. So I decided to check the thickness, and the difference turned out to be quite big.

Here are the photos provided by my agent:

As shown above, the thickness is 13.1mm. Now let’s look at the official specs:

Brand: Rolex
Series: Day-Date 40
Case diameter: 40mm
Case thickness: 12mm

The difference is 1.1mm. You might think that’s not much, but in my opinion, once you actually have it in hand, the feeling is completely different. Watches like this are far from true 1:1 pieces, and the price gap reflects that.

So I believe many agents don’t really care about the product itself. What they care about is how to market it, how to get traffic. They’ve never even touched the actual product — they’re just middlemen. The frustrating part is… their business is still very good.

This is just something I casually wrote for my website. Hopefully Google can send me more traffic haha.
