VS Factory Omega Seamaster 600 Planet Ocean 215.92.46.22.01.006 — Hands-On Review

What's up guys, it's Xiaolu from vsfwatcheshub. Got two new drops from VS Factory to go over today — both are the Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M Worldtimer, ref 215.92.46.22.01.006. One in turquoise, one in black-grey. Same case, same movement, same dimensions. Only difference is the dial color and accent details. So let's get into it.

Case Size — Dead On

First thing I always do. Grab the calipers.

Official spec says 44.5mm. I'm getting 44.2mm lug-to-lug straight across, and if you measure corner to corner it lands right around 45mm. Thickness is listed at 17.4mm on gen — mine reads 17.3mm. Basically spot on. No complaints here, the VS Factory Omega Seamaster 600 nails the sizing.

Full Black Ceramic Build

Whole case is black ceramic. Same material as gen. That's a big deal because ceramic has a specific weight and feel on wrist that you just can't replicate with coated steel. It stays cool in summer, barely picks up scratches — really solid for daily wear.

One thing though. Ceramic does NOT like hard drops. Crack it and you're done, there's no buffing that out. You'd have to swap the entire case. So just... don't slam it on a counter and you'll be fine.

The clasp is ceramic too, same spec as the Omega "Deep Black" line. Rubber strap stitching is clean and even. Overall build quality is honestly impressive for what this is.

Movement: VS In-House Cal. 8938

Flip it over and you're looking at VS Factory's own 8938 caliber through the exhibition caseback. This movement originally showed up in the Seamaster 150 Worldtimer and was adapted for the Planet Ocean 600M platform. All the complications work exactly like gen — worldtime function, date, the whole thing.

Biggest tell if someone really knows what they're looking at? There's an extra small post inside. Gen uses a free-sprung balance, so that's the one structural difference. But the mainspring barrel, jewels — all functional, not decorative. Caseback alignment after screwing down is clean and flush. Meets the standard you'd expect from VS on any Seamaster build.

Dial Details — Turquoise vs Black-Grey

Turquoise Dial

This one's got a relief-textured dial that catches light in a really fresh way. Gives it that summer vibe. Hands are brushed, second hand has a gradient green finish. Looks great.

Now, couple things worth noting. On gen, the center pinion area is fully white. On this VS version there's a slight metallic tone showing through. Not a dealbreaker but it's there if you look for it.

The globe motif in the center — gen has more depth and dimension to it. VS gets close but it reads a bit flatter. And the 24-hour track around the worldtime ring, on some units the numerals sit just slightly off-center. Not wildly crooked or anything, most people would never catch it. The font weight also shifts a bit — numbers in the first half of the dial run a touch thicker, second half gets thinner. Minor stuff.

Black-Grey Dial

This is the one that surprised me. Color matching is almost perfect — virtually zero color deviation from gen. The turquoise version can have a very slight shade difference depending on the light, but the black-grey? Rock solid consistency.

Visual impact is strong. Black and white accent detailing around the bezel edge keeps it clean and sharp. If you want something versatile that works year-round, this is probably the safer pick.

Worldtime Function — How It Works

Pull the crown out to position one, and you can rotate the worldtime city ring by adjusting the time. Works both clockwise and counter-clockwise, same as gen. Pull to position two for standard time setting — the 24-hour disc tracks along with it, so you've essentially got a dual timezone setup.

Winding feel is good. Close to gen resistance. Crown screws in with a single-direction thread and sits snug, no wobble. Tactile feedback overall is better than I expected.

Who Should Wear This

Let's be real — 44.5mm in ceramic is a big watch. If your wrist is under about 16.5cm (roughly 6.5 inches), it's gonna wear large and probably look a bit awkward. 16.5cm and above, you're golden. The ceramic-plus-rubber combo keeps the weight manageable and honestly feels great on a hot day. No sweat buildup, no sticky bracelet situation.

Final Thoughts

VS Factory's Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M Worldtimer 215.92.46.22.01.006 is a seriously well-executed rep. Both colorways hold up. Ceramic case is legit, the 8938 movement handles all the worldtime complications properly, sizing is gen-spec. The weak spots are minor — globe depth on the dial could be better, and some units have slightly off-center numerals on the 24h ring. That's about it.

For a ceramic worldtimer at this price point from VS, it's hard to find much to complain about. Thanks for reading — catch you in the next one.
