VS Factory Panerai Submersible PAM02692 – Full Hands-On Review

Hey guys, vsfwatcheshub here. Got something fresh from VS Factory today — the Panerai Submersible PAM02692. 47mm. Full titanium. Absolute unit on the wrist.

If you've been around the rep game for a while you probably already know the PAM00305 and PAM00389. Same DNA here. Classic Submersible design language, VS just switched up the colorway on this ref.

Size & Material

47mm case diameter, roughly 16.5mm thick. Yeah it's big. That's just what Panerai does though.

Now here's the thing — this one's titanium. Panerai markets the gen as some kind of "metallic glass" material but let's be real, it's Ti alloy. And that matters because despite the size, this thing is stupid light on wrist. I've seen guys with 16.5cm wrists pull it off no problem. The weight (or lack of it) really helps.

Bezel & Design Details

Unidirectional rotating bezel with markings up to the 15-minute position — standard dive timing function. Nothing fancy, does what it needs to do.

The crown guard bridge is there. Signature Panerai look. You see it, you know exactly what brand it is. No explanation needed.

Caseback is also titanium, solid closed design. Everything stays consistent material-wise which is nice. A lot of reps cut corners on the caseback — VS didn't here.

Strap Setup

Comes on an imported rubber strap with a pin buckle. Quality is solid, not that stiff cheap rubber you get on lower tier reps. VS also throws in a nylon weave strap for free. Two completely different vibes — sporty rubber for daily wear, nylon for something more casual. Good deal honestly.

How to Tell It's Actually VS Factory

This is the part people always ask about. So here's the quickest way.

Right now VS is basically the only factory that nailed the movement on this one. The tell? Date adjustment. On the gen PAM02692, you change the date by rotating the hour hand independently — works both clockwise and counter-clockwise. If your 692 does that, it's VS. Pretty much guaranteed. No other factory has replicated this mechanism yet.

For setting the time just pull the crown out and go clockwise. Don't force the date backwards through the time-setting position.

Lume

It's a dive watch so lume better be good. And yeah. VS absolutely killed it on this one. Super bright, strong charge retention, reads perfectly in low light. Panerai is known for lume and VS clearly understood the assignment.

So that's the VS Factory Panerai Submersible PAM02692. Titanium build keeps the weight down despite the 47mm case, the movement functionality matches gen behavior, and overall finishing is what you'd expect from VS at this point. They don't miss on Panerai.
