VS Factory Omega Seamaster 210.22.42.20.01.001 — Super Clone Hands-On Review

Alright so besides the Sub, what's the most popular dive watch in the rep game right now? Gotta be the Seamaster 300. Today I'm going over the VS Factory Omega Seamaster 210.22.42.20.01.001, the two-tone version on rubber strap.

Why the Seamaster 300 Stays Hot

There's kind of a natural ladder with dive watches. Budget end you've got the Longines HydroConquest. Step up and it's this — the Seamaster 300. Then you're into Sub territory, green, black, Yacht-Master, all that. Some niche picks like the Cartier Calibre diver or IWC Aquatimer exist but they don't move nearly as much. The Seamaster 300 is basically Omega's bread and butter for dive watches. I ship these out daily, demand never really dips.

Movement and Crown

VS Factory fitted this one with the 8800 movement. Rotor spins smooth, dead quiet, winding efficiency is solid. Engravings on the movement — serial number, logos — all present and clean.

Crown operation. Unscrew downward to unlock. Push up for manual winding. First click is date, second click is time. Push back in, screw it down while pressing. Standard screw-down waterproof design.

Now that smaller crown up top — a lot of people have no idea what it does. It's the helium escape valve. Say you're deep diving past 100m, 200m, pressure builds, gas gets trapped inside the case. You surface, crack that valve open, let it vent. For daily wear? Just keep both crowns screwed tight. Swimming, casual diving, zero issues.

Dial Options and Two-Tone Details

Color options on VS Factory's Seamaster 300 are pretty wide — black, white, blue, grey dials. Two-tone comes in yellow gold or rose gold accent. Mine here is the yellow gold combo.

One detail worth pointing out on the gold parts. Precious metal markings are all there. The Helvetia hallmark (dog head stamp), AU750 engraving, Omega logo. All done.

Steel sections obviously don't carry those stamps since it's stainless. The gold links on the bracelet version? Same markings there too — 750, dog head, Omega. Impressive attention to detail from VS on this batch.

On Wrist: Rubber vs Steel

My wrist is about 17cm. The rubber strap on this thing is absurdly soft. Like genuinely no pressure points anywhere, you can flop your wrist around and barely feel the watch. Plus rubber is corrosion-resistant so it handles saltwater fine.

Steel bracelet is a completely different vibe. Heavy. Thick. Substantial. Comes with a double-push deployant clasp and has micro-adjust links for dialing in the fit. Rubber if you want comfort, steel if you want that wrist presence. Personal call.

Bezel and Lume

Unidirectional bezel has a pretty chunky feel when you rotate it. More industrial than the Sub's crisp click action — different design philosophy, metal on metal here. Not a flaw, just a different approach.

Lume is ice blue. Gorgeous. In daylight you can barely catch it but once you're in a dim room or underground parking garage type lighting it pops hard.

Final Thoughts

The VS Factory Omega Seamaster 210.22.42.20.01.001 super clone really delivers across the board. Movement finishing, two-tone execution, wrist comfort — it all checks out. Rubber and steel both have their place depending on what you're after. Hit me up if you want more details, appreciate everyone following vsfwatcheshub.
