VS Factory Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M 215.30.46.21.06.001 – Full Breakdown

What's up guys, vsfwatcheshub here. Today we're looking at a big one — and I mean that literally. This is the VS Factory Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M 215.30.46.21.06.001, aka "The Sea King" in the rep community. Why Sea King? Because this thing is massive. Noticeably bigger and chunkier than the standard Planet Ocean 600M. Strap in.

Size — Yeah, It's a Chunky Boy

So I got the calipers out. We're looking at roughly 45mm across and a whopping 16.7mm thick. That thickness is honestly wild. Most regular Planet Ocean 600M reps sit way thinner than that. This one just feels like a tank on your wrist — heavy, solid, substantial. The bracelet matches that vibe too. Wide links, good weight. Nothing flimsy about it.

Even the sapphire crystal has some real height to it. You can see it from the side. The whole package screams "big diver watch" and it does not apologize for it.

The Bezel

Orange ceramic. Unidirectional, as you'd expect. The action on it is actually pretty light — not too stiff, nice clicks. Some people prefer a heavier bezel feel but personally I don't mind the lighter rotation on this one.

That orange pops hard against the dial. Really gives the VS Factory Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M its identity. You see this watch from across the room.

Case Finishing & Dial Details

The sides of the case have this sandblasted texture. Zoom in and you can see the grain — it's even and consistent, no sloppy patches. Hands are polished clean with no visible burrs on the edges. Solid work for a rep at this tier.

On the dial, the 12, 3, 6 and 9 markers are highlighted in orange to match the bezel. Nice touch. And here's the thing — this ref doesn't have a date window. So the dial is super clean. No cyclops, no date cutout, just a pure no-date look. Keeps everything minimal.

Lume Game

OK so the lume on this VS Factory Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean is genuinely impressive. The bezel insert has full lume coverage around the outer ring. Combine that with lumed indices and hands, and you get a LOT of glow in the dark.

Here's what makes it cool though — the hour and minute hands use different lume colors. Dual-tone lume. The bezel ring glows this icy blue shade that looks fantastic at night. Legibility in the dark? Not a problem at all with this one.

Bracelet & Diver Extension

Bracelet finishing is decent. Brushed texture, consistent across the links. The clasp is a double-push butterfly style, snaps shut cleanly.

One feature worth mentioning — there's a diver extension built into the clasp. You press and slide it out to add extra length. The whole point is so you can wear it over a wetsuit without having to resize the bracelet. Just pull and go. Pretty practical if you actually take your reps near water (no judgment).

Caseback & Movement

Solid caseback on this one. No display window, so you can't see the movement — but the engraving is nice. Classic Seahorse medallion on the back, sharp details, good depth to the relief. Corner engravings are crisp too.

Inside, it's running the well-known VS in-house 8X00 series movement — that's their clone of the genuine 8900/8500 caliber. Same movement they drop into a bunch of their Seamaster lineup, just with different rotor engravings depending on the ref.

Now because this particular model has no date function, there's a quirk with the crown positions. Pull the crown to the first position and it just free-spins — that's the ghost date position since there's no date wheel to engage. You need to pull to the second position to actually set the time. Not a big deal once you know, but it catches people off guard the first time. Push it back in, screw it down tight, and you're good. Swimming, showering, whatever — no stress.

Who Should (and Shouldn't) Buy This

Let me be real. If your wrist is under 18cm, skip this one. At 45mm wide and nearly 17mm tall it will wear like an anchor on a small wrist. Proportions matter. You want this watch to look commanding, not comical. Got the wrist for it? Then go for it. Smaller wrist gang — plenty of other Seamaster refs out there that'll suit you better.

Final Take

The VS Factory Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M 215.30.46.21.06.001 delivers. Orange ceramic bezel feels and looks right, the dual-tone icy blue lume is a standout feature, VS in-house 8X00 movement is proven and reliable, and the overall build quality is up there with what you'd expect from VS at this point.

It's a big watch. It's not trying to be subtle. If you're into that oversized diver aesthetic and your wrist can handle it, the Sea King earns its name.

Stay tuned to vsfwatcheshub for more. Catch you on the next one.
