VS Factory Omega Constellation 131.23.41.21.03.001 – Hands-On Review

Hey guys, it's Zhenzhen over at vsfwatcheshub. Got a new piece on the desk today — the VS Factory Omega Constellation 131.23.41.21.03.001, two-tone rose gold with a blue dial. Been wanting to break this one down for a while now. Let's get into it.

The Dial

First thing you notice? That sunburst. Deep blue radiating out from the tiny star at the center of the dial — it hits different under direct light. The grooves are finely brushed, not sloppy, and the whole thing has real depth to it.

The gold-toned hands have a brushed finish. Thick enough to feel substantial. The Omega logo sits raised off the dial with a clean metallic look to it, no paint job here.

Bezel & Crystal

Blue ceramic bezel. Rose gold numerals inlaid into it — the color combo is genuinely sharp. You can see the difference between the brushed top surface and the polished sides pretty clearly, gives the bezel some real dimension.

Sapphire crystal is domed. There's a light blue AR coating on it, subtle though. Not the kind that screams at you.

Constellation DNA

Alright so what actually makes a Constellation a Constellation? Three things, and VS nailed all of them on this 131.23.41.21.03.001 ref:

The griffes — those iconic claws on each side of the case. Still the most recognizable design element in the whole Constellation lineup. The Roman numeral markers on the bezel. And of course the star at 6 o'clock. That little detail is basically the signature of the entire series.

All present, all properly executed.

Movement: VS Caliber 8900

Pop the caseback open and you're looking at the VS in-house 8900. Finishing is clean — the rotor and plates have a visible polish, engravings are crisp and legible. No sloppy fonts or blurry text.

Big deal here: this movement is built on a dedicated mold, so it actually runs a true double-barrel mainspring setup. The balance wheel is skeletonized, arc-shaped, split evenly in black. Runs smooth from what I can tell. Solid work from VS on this one.

Strap & Clasp

Dual-material strap. Top layer is genuine leather, underside is blue rubber — comfortable on the wrist especially in warmer weather. The clasp is a single-fold deployant, nothing fancy but it clicks shut cleanly and sits flat. Does the job.

Date Function — Slow Jump

Pull the crown to the first position and you can cycle the date forward. What's worth mentioning here is the slow-jump date change — same behavior as gen. Around 10 PM the date disc starts creeping, and by midnight it snaps over. No instant jump. This is one of those small things that a lot of reps get wrong, so it's good to see VS get it right on the Constellation 131.23.41.21.03.001.

On the Wrist

Blue dial plus rose gold accents — yeah, it looks the part. The sunburst catches light aggressively, almost too much in direct sun, but that's kind of the point with this colorway. The brushed gold hands and indices tie the whole thing together.

Wearing it feels like a proper dress watch without being too flashy. Sits well on the wrist, the two-tone pulls it off without looking overdone.

That's the full rundown on the VS Factory Omega Constellation 131.23.41.21.03.001 rose gold blue dial. If you've been eyeing this ref, hopefully this gave you a clearer picture of what to expect in hand. More reviews coming soon — stay tuned to vsfwatcheshub.
