VS Factory Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 220.10.41.21.06.001 — Hands-On Details

Alright so this one's been on my desk for a bit and I finally got around to shooting it properly. VS Factory's take on the Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 150M, ref 220.10.41.21.06.001 — the silver dial with blue seconds hand. They also do a black dial/green seconds and a white dial/white seconds in the same line, but honestly? This silver colorway is the one. It just hits different.

The Dial

First thing you notice. That silver-white surface catches light with this faint purple-ish shimmer depending on the angle — it's subtle but it adds a lot of depth. The applied hour markers are blue, which pops against the silver and actually makes the watch super legible. Not just pretty.

But the real story here is the teak pattern. Horizontal lines running across the dial, mimicking the teak wood decking on old yacht floors. That's the signature Aqua Terra design element and VS nailed it on this ref. Lines are crisp, evenly spaced. The Omega logo sits clean and properly centered too, no wonky printing.

Case and Bracelet

316L stainless steel all around. The case sides and lugs get a brushed finish — you can feel the texture when you run a finger across it. Bracelet is a three-link design: outer links brushed, center links polished. Gives it that two-tone finish play that the gen does. Nothing groundbreaking but the execution is solid, no rough transitions between the finishes.

Crown Details

OK so this is one of those small things that most people overlook. The crown guards on this Aqua Terra have recessed grooves carved into them — a nod to the teak concept running through the whole design. The crown itself is conical shaped, which makes winding and setting pretty smooth.

Wind direction is clockwise. Pull it out one click and you get independent hour hand adjustment — basically the same quick-set hour function VS puts in their Panerai reps. Super handy for switching time zones without stopping the movement. Just jump the hour forward or back, done.

Movement: VS In-House 8900

Flip it over. You're looking at VS Factory's own 8900 integrated movement. I've done a side-by-side comparison before between this and the Miyota 8215-based frankenmovements floating around the market. Night and day difference. The 8900 clone is a fully integrated caliber, not a swap-and-plate job.

The caseback interior has this wave-pattern decoration — concentric ripples carved into the metal. It's a nice nod to the Seamaster's ocean DNA and honestly one of those details that makes you appreciate the effort VS puts into finishing. Not something you'd see day to day but when you pop the back off, it's there.

Strap Options

One thing I like about this ref — flexibility. You can get it on the steel bracelet, rubber strap, or NATO-style fabric strap. If steel isn't your thing, grab the rubber version. Or do what a lot of guys do: buy the bracelet version and pick up a rubber strap separately so you can swap depending on the occasion. Just a heads up though, some dial variants default to rubber rather than steel, so double check before you order.

So yeah. The VS Factory Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 220.10.41.21.06.001 in silver — teak dial texture is on point, the 8900 clone movement is still one of the better integrated cals out there, and those wave caseback details are a nice bonus. Solid rep overall. Drop a comment if you've got questions or want to see a specific comparison.
