VS Factory Omega Seamaster 215.30.46.21.03.001 — Gradient Blue Deep Dive Review

Hey guys, it's Xiao Lu from vsfwatcheshub. So VS Factory just dropped something pretty exciting — the Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 215.30.46.21.03.001 in gradient blue. You know the one. The "Deep Sea King" that rep enthusiasts have been waiting on.

Quick background if you're new here: VS Factory already has a solid reputation with their Rolex line, complete with dedicated workshops and after-sales support. Now they're expanding into Omega and Panerai territory with the same level of commitment. That alone got my attention.

Let's get into it.

Build Quality & First Impressions

Right out of the box, this thing has weight to it. Full 316L stainless steel case — feels dense, feels legit. The finishing is thick and confident, nothing flimsy about it.

Real talk though? This watch is basically Omega's answer to the Rolex Sea-Dweller "Ghost King." Side by side, the design language is almost identical. Swap the logo and you'd have to look twice. That's not a knock on it — just the nature of these two references.

The black ceramic bezel sits clean, and the crystal is noticeably thick. It's engineered for deep-sea pressure resistance, and VS Factory didn't cut corners here. No visible flaws, great transparency on the glass.

Bracelet & Clasp

Edge finishing on the bracelet is sharp. Like, properly done — no rough spots, no lazy polishing. The links feel solid on the wrist.

Open up the clasp and you'll find the diver's extension link — three extra sections that fold out for wearing over a wetsuit. Standard feature on the gen, and VS nailed the execution here. Folds back in tight, no wobble during daily wear.

Caseback

Solid caseback on this one. Thick. Has to be, given the depth rating this watch is supposed to handle.

The Seahorse engraving is well-defined with good depth — not that flat, stamped look you see on cheaper reps. Lettering around the edge is crisp too.

Bezel Action

Unidirectional rotating bezel, as expected on any serious dive watch. The clicks are a bit louder than some people might prefer, but the feel is positive and the alignment is spot on. No complaints from me.

Movement — The Important Stuff

Here's where it gets interesting. VS Factory equipped this with their in-house 8900 series movement, which is their take on the genuine Cal.8906.

Power reserve sits at roughly 60 hours, which tracks almost exactly with the authentic. The overall architecture and reliability are on par with what you'd expect from VS at this point.

One difference worth noting: the gen has an independent hour-hand adjustment — a GMT function, essentially. VS didn't replicate that specific complication. Pull the crown to the first position and you get the date. Second position adjusts the time. Everything else — the power reserve, the rotor feel, the winding — matches up well.

Not a dealbreaker for most people. But worth knowing before you buy.

Dial & Lume

Up close the dial work is solid. Lume plots are filled evenly, indices have a dimensional quality to them, and the printing is sharp. The center pinion is properly aligned — VS clearly did their homework on the dial layout.

The gradient blue is the star of the show obviously. Under different lighting it shifts a little — maybe a slight color variance compared to gen photos — but honestly it's the kind of blue that grows on you. Very wearable.

And that crystal edge? Genuinely impressive. Catches light beautifully, looks smooth and polished all the way around.

Size & How It Wears

This is a big watch. No way around it.

VS Factory Omega Seamaster 215.30.46.21.03.001 Rolex Sea-Dweller "Ghost King"
Case Diameter 45.5mm 44mm
Thickness ~18mm ~17.8mm
Case Material 316L Stainless Steel 904L Oystersteel
Power Reserve ~60 hours ~70 hours

At 45.5mm across and 18mm thick, it wears with a pretty noticeable wrist curve. Best suited for guys with 7"+ wrists — below that and it starts looking a bit top-heavy. The dimensions are nearly identical to the Rolex Ghost King, which makes sense. This IS Omega's top-tier diver, and the rep follows suit.

Final Thoughts

Look — the VS Factory Omega Seamaster 215.30.46.21.03.001 gradient blue isn't trying to be subtle. It's a chunky, purpose-built dive beast with serious wrist presence. The 60-hour power reserve, solid caseback, diver extension clasp — it's all there. The movement isn't a 1:1 clone of the 8906 but it's close enough where the average wearer won't notice or care.

For the big-watch guys who want something other than another Sub or GMT on their wrist, this is definitely one to check out. VS Factory is clearly getting more serious about their Omega lineup and this release shows it.

That's it for this one. Follow us at vsfwatcheshub for more first-look reviews as new releases drop. Catch you in the next one.
