VS Factory Panerai Luminor Due PAM01046 — Full Breakdown

Hey guys, vsfwatcheshub here. Got something a little different today.

When you think Panerai, big chunky divers come to mind. That's fair. But the Luminor Due line? Totally different vibe. This is Panerai's slim collection — 42mm, way more wrist-friendly. The VS Factory version of the PAM01046 is what we're looking at, white dial, and honestly one of the cleaner reps they've put out.

Price sits around 4.8W. Pairs nicely with the PAM01314 if you're into the couples watch thing.

Dial

The colorway has this vintage feel to it. Slightly yellowish indices — the gen is the same shade. 9 o'clock you've got the classic torpedo-style small seconds subdial, very Panerai.

Printing on the dial is minimal. Logo up top, "Automatic" below it, "Swiss Made" at the bottom. That's it. No clutter. The date window at 3 o'clock is white background with black font. Easy to read, nothing fancy.

Lume and Date Window Details

Lume is visible even in daylight. VS nailed this part.

Now here's a small thing worth mentioning. Right side of the date window — there's a tiny scale marker. I saw a lower-tier version at the market recently and that detail was just missing entirely. So yeah, good tell for spotting batch quality.

Case and Crystal

Crystal tests positive for sapphire. No surprise there.

The case is fully polished. Looks sharp on wrist but — and this is the tradeoff — scratches show up fast. Don't just toss it in a bag with your keys and wallet. Give it its own spot.

At 42mm this thing wears noticeably smaller than your typical PAM. The crown guard bridge is scaled down proportionally too. Makes a real difference on smaller wrists.

Caseback and Movement

Solid caseback with engraving. VS did a proper job here — lettering is clean, consistent depth, no rough edges. Really nothing to complain about on the case finishing.

Movement is VS Factory's in-house clone. Base is the P9000, same platform they use across most of their PAM lineup. Different references just get different rotor engravings or balance wheel placements. The movement's been around long enough now that reliability isn't really a question anymore.

Strap

Brown oiled calfskin. Shade runs darker than what you'd see on the PAM00441. Width is sized down to match the slimmer case. Black calfskin lining on the inside, pin buckle closure.

On Wrist and How to Operate

Quick rundown on the crown. Turn it directly — that's winding. New watch, give it about 30 turns. Pull to first position for quick-set date. Actually this is one way to verify you've got a real VS — the quick-set date function at first pull. Second position is time setting. Push it back in when you're done.

On my 17.5cm wrist the 42mm case felt a touch small honestly. This VS Factory Panerai Luminor Due PAM01046 really is built for wrists under 16cm or for women who want that Panerai DNA without the bulk.
